Minibems shortlisted for Building Technology of the Year award with innovative solution for heat network sector
Minibems are thrilled to be shortlisted as finalists at the Business Green Technology Awards, which celebrate cutting-edge technologies and innovators that are working to accelerate the transition to a sustainable, low carbon economy.
As finalists in the Building Technology of the Year category, this award recognises the most exciting recent developments in green construction and property that are working to cut environmental impacts and improve building performance.
Judges were impressed with Minibems innovative approach, which includes an Internet of Things (IoT) based smart heating solution designed to de-carbonise the heat network market.
Finian Parrick, Minibems CEO commented, “Minibems are proud to be shortlisted as a finalist for this award. Heat networks will play a key role in decarbonising heating to meet climate goals, and it is imperative that we champion advancing technologies and strive to deliver systems that are optimised for efficient operation.”
Finian continued, “Our solution delivers a comprehensive and unique heat network management service; using real-time online monitoring and controls to provide energy efficiency gains, remote diagnosis and repairs, as well as metering and billing services. In addition to this, Minibems end users benefit from low energy bills, reduction in unplanned maintenance costs and accurate and easy billing payment”
Minibems will also be presenting a four-minute pitch during the awards festival as part of a Net Zero Challenge where the audience will vote for their favourite in each category, as well as their favourite overall, with an award going to each winner. Winners of the Business Green Technology Awards will be announced at an exclusive networking reception at the end of the Festival.
Minibems delivers equivalent carbon savings to converting a petrol car to an electric car, for twenty times less capital cost
Reducing our carbon footprint is typically an expensive task requiring extensive capital investment. However installing Minibems onto a heat network typically saves 1 tonne of carbon, per annum, for every apartment it’s fitted into.
With gas prices soaring the opportunity for real and tangible cost savings on heat networks has never been greater.
Minibems can cut an average of 1 tonne of carbon emissions per home per annum – saving you money too. By controlling each apartment with our unique and patented Dynamic flow control system we achieve the savings by optimising flow rates through your HIU.
As finance managers across the UK know, managing budgets is a weekly challenge during these unprecedented times for energy price hikes. This isn’t just bad news for those in charge of managing operational budgets for heat networks, it’s also bad news for families.
