Alistair Moore recently joined the Minibems team as Heat Network Consultant, putting his skills into practice by demonstrating the need for real-time, demand driven control for communal and district heating systems.

Minibems is unique in applying IoT technology to dynamically control real-time flow rate, operate and monitor the use of heat for each dwelling across the heat network development.

This major capital contribution will enable Minibems to pursue fast growth in the heating network market across the UK and Europe.

It would take the 1.21GW Flux Capacitor (the key to time travel in the film, ‘Back to the Future’) six years non-stop to provide for the U.K.’s annual space heating needs. Space heating accounts for 42% of the total UK Energy usage, around 66,000 Gigawatt hours (GWh) of energy used annually.

We have walked into so many plant rooms. We have assessed hotels, energy centres serving hundreds of homes, leisure centres, farms and office buildings.

Years ago, when we were busy installing biomass boilers we were excited and proud to be helping the UK heating profile change to one of sustainable practices and renewable fuels.

We have worked for over 10 years in the field of heat management. We have been intimately involved with the design, installation, distribution, servicing and maintenance of all sorts of heating systems; confronting problems, and working on solutions.

Following on from a recent LinkedIn post we put together concerning flow temperatures and boiler optimisation making headlines in the Guardian and The Times newspapers. We thought it would be a good time to shout about the efficiencies we can achieve on heat networks.
